QED Sqart P21 Performance Scart Cable.

The flattened elliptical profile of SQART is aesthetically pleasing and allows improved cable management in cabinets and racks, 99.999% OFC connectors in foamed PE dielectric to ensure excellent signal transfer and superb picture and sound quality. Shielding is provided by mylar foil and OFC braids, this is vital in keeping unwanted external interference away from the delicate sound and vision signals. The eye-catching straight-entry SQART plug has a die-cast zinc body with nickel plating that incorporates both a 24ct gold-plated 21 pin connector insert and an integral cable over mould to ensure maximum grip.

'GOOD PERFORMANCE-POOR EXECUTION IN FIT AND ACCOMMODATION.'

Strengths:

Nice colour sheathing. Good quality but poor execution in my mind anyway.

Weaknesses:

Falls out of the socket from the top edge when placed in a vertical scart socket, typically at the television end.

Overall:

If the signal is bad it means the cable has dropped out!. I cannot say I agree with the mechanical nmake up of the cable and having bought 4 of the cables, I have often tried to give them a go but have replaced them by the flexible type that stays put and is more easily accommodated. When will manufacturers consider the fit of the cable and surely a facility to have loked a scart plug in place would have been a good idea from the outset-although I cannot blame QED for that.

'EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY'

Strengths:

Noticeable improvement in picture quality and sound also clearer with better bass. Appears very well made.

Weaknesses:

As others have mentioned it is very inflexible so make sure it will fit your system. Clearer sound may seem bright or sharp if you are using a TV with weak speakers.

Overall:

I was surprised at the improvement in picture quality especially as my previous cable was not a basic one but it has given us the best picture and sound yet from our Sky box.
